The Archdiocesan Delegates Meeting held on the 6th of July at the Hudson Valley Resort & Spa, at Kerhonkson, New York, elected the office bearers of the Malankara Archdiocese of the Syrian Orthodox Church in North America, which is directly under the spiritual and administrative supervision and control of His Holiness Moran Mor Ignatius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and all the East and Supreme Head of the of the Universal Syrian Orthodox Church and presided by His Eminence Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho, Metropolitan / Patriarchal Vicar. |

Committee members for each organization were also elected at their own sessions. The Clergy Meeting reelected Rev. Fr. Abraham O. Kadavil as the Clergy Association Secretary. Congratulations to the office bearers and we request prayers from all our Clergy and Faithful, so that the Heavenly Father would shower blessings and endow them with divine directions for His glory and the progress and prosperity of the Malankara Archdiocese and the Holy Church in general.

The Archdiocesan Family Conference commenced on the 6th of July and concluded on the 9th with the Holy Eucharistic Celebration. The esteemed presence and blessings of Metropolitans Their Eminences Mor Severios Abraham, Mor Coorilos Aphrem Karim, Mor Diascoros Kuriakose and Mor Titus Yeldho enhanced the atmosphere of the conference and the impressive key note address of Rev. Fr. Jacob Joseph, a renowned speaker, on various sessions and the eminent discourses of Commander Dr. Roy Thomas and Very Reverend Ramban Stephanos Issa, along with the notable sessions led by various Clergy and lay leaders were greatly beneficial to the attendees. It is decided to hold the 2007 Family Conference in Dallas and the St. Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Church, Carrolton, Texas will facilitate and assist the Archdiocesan Council to make necessary planning for the event, in the leadership of Archbishop Mor Titus Yeldho.

We also join with the multitudes of the Syrian Orthodox Clergy and Faithful in praising the Lord for the newly consecrated Metropolitans, Their Eminences Mor Thedosius Mathews, Mor Osthatheos Pathros, Mor Aphrem Mathews, Mor Geevarghese Coorilos and Mor Eusebius Mathews and Mor Markose Krysotomos. May the gracious Lord strengthen the Holy Church with their meaningful contributions, efforts and prayers.
