St. Gregorios Chapel

A new chapel in the name of Blessed St. Gregorios of Parumala has been started at Kazhakuttam, Thiruvananthapuram close to Technopark. This has been a dream come true for the residents of Thiruvananthapuram as well as the Jacobite faithful who work in the Technopark, the busy hub of software engineers in Kerala.

The first Holy Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Siby Joseph, Vicar St. Peter's JSS Cathedral Thiruvananthapuram. The Holy Mass was attended by Rev. Fr. Abraham Kattathara, Vicar St. Mary's JSS Church, Rev. Dn. Dr. Paul Samuel and Rev. Dn. Bennet Kuriakose. Trustee Mr. M. Samuel, Secretary Mr. Reji Abraham and other committee members were also present.

This is the second in a row of newly formed congregation chapel under the initiative of St. Peters JSS Cathedral. Rev. Fr. Siby Joseph, Mr. M. Samuel and Mr. Reji Abraham have been ably guiding and leading this big task from the right beginning.

The chapel is now functioning in a rented building owned by a Muslim person who is giving it for the first time. He was planning to make it a prayer hall for Muslim faithful but could not accomplish his aim so far. When we approached him, he was happy to give it to us on a rental basis. The inauguration of the chapel coincided on the Eid day of Ramzan which is important for the Muslim population.

The chapel is situated at the bypass junction of Kazhakuttam and is barely half kilometer to Technopark. It is near the main road side and is on the second floor of the building.

Hundreds of faithful attended the Holy Mass and received blessings.

Holy Mass will be on every third Saturday of the month at 7.15 AM. All faithful around Technopark and our people working in Technopark are requested to make this venture a big success. Kindly spread this word to all your near and dear and encourage those who are in Technopark to attend this chapel without fail
