International Airport on February 17, Thursday.

faithful were present.

of the Coptic Orthodox Church
welcomed the delegation. Later
His Beatitude was the chief
celebrant for the Holy Tri Mass
celebrated at the church. His
Eminence Paulose Mor Irenios
Metropolitan, Very Rev. Cor
Bishop Boutros Touma Issa, Fr.
Abram Abdelmalek were the co
celebrants. Hundreds of faithful
from Syriac Orthodox Church and
Coptic Orthodox Church
participated.

metropolitan Mor Irenious
Poulose visited North Shepparton
Community Centre as part of an
Australia and New Zealand trip.
The pair previously visited
Perth, Sydney, Adelaide and
Melbourne churches. They will
travel to Brisbane today and
Auckland tomorrow.
Catholicose
and metropolitan blessed several
Indian children during the Holy
Qurbono.
‘‘We’re blessed to have the head
of our church come to Shepparton,’’
Father Thomas said.
The
Shepparton church was created
last year and is the 11th
Jacobite Syrian Orthodox
congregation in Australia.
North
Shepparton Community Centre
hosts the church’s ceremonies on
the first Saturday of each
month.
